Technical specification

Shades are built in pyramid, arched, flat or tensile forms on rust-resistant frames, with fabrics that block direct heat and protect vehicles and property. Wall screens come in wood, steel, fabric and Lexan, designed to block sightlines while standing up to local wind speeds. With fencing, the real difference is underground: posts are set in poured concrete footings deep enough to stop leaning over time, and we use corrosion-resistant galvanised mesh for agricultural land and industrial sites.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a fabric shade last?

High-grade HDPE fabric lasts eight to twelve years in the Eastern Province climate before replacement. The galvanised steel frame lasts far longer, so replacement usually covers the fabric only.

Do shades withstand local wind speeds?

Yes, when designed to local wind loads under SBC 301. Most shade failures come from an uncalculated frame or shallow footings, not from the fabric.

Wood, Lexan or steel screens — what differs?

Wood looks best and needs periodic maintenance. Lexan passes soft light, resists impact and never rusts. Steel is strongest and cheapest but needs anti-corrosion treatment near the coast.

How are fences kept from leaning over time?

The difference is underground: posts set in poured concrete footings deep enough for the soil. Shallow footings are the leading cause of fences leaning within a year or two.
